No development during nine years of BJP rule in UP: Ajay Rai
LUCKNOW, March 20 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Ajay Rai on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Yogi government, alleging that the nine years of its governance in the state have been marked by "destruction not development". The Yogi government came to power in Uttar Pradesh on March 19, 2017.
Addressing a press conference at the party office here, Rai dismissed the government's claims of "nine years of transformation" as misleading. His remarks come a day after CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted his government's achievements, saying that coming generations will remember his government for getting the state rid of the sins of the Samajwadi Party and the Congress and making it a land of virtue.
"The state capital's mega infrastructure venture Green Corridor developed a sinkhole a day after its inauguration, indicating how the government has failed in infrastructure development. A rojgar sewak in Mohanlalganj committed suicide because he did not receive payment, showing how common workers are troubled in the state," Rai claimed.
"Even in the education sector, the video of mid-day meal being cooked by students in Pilibhit is going viral and tells the truth about education in Uttar Pradesh," he further claimed....
