Lucknow, Nov. 26 -- Nine members of the wedding party were injured when a bus carrying them collided head-on with a truck on the outer ring road near Anup Kheda under the Bijnor police station area, while over 30 others narrowly escaped serious harm. The bus was travelling from Sultanpur to Etawah with around 30-35 baratis on board when the collision took place around 8 pm. According to eyewitnesses, the bus hit the truck (UP 76 T 7232) with such force that several passengers were trapped inside, prompting calls for emergency assistance. At 7:45 pm, the Sarojini Nagar Fire Station control room received an alert from a passerby reporting that multiple people were stuck in the damaged vehicles. Acting swiftly under the direction of the Chief Fire Officer Ankush Mittal, a rescue team led by Fire Station Officer Dharmapal Singh rushed to the scene with unit vehicle 8717. Upon arrival, firefighters found the bus and truck severely damaged. The team worked quickly to free the trapped passengers. Nine people were critically injured, and all wounded passengers were transported by ambulance to Lok Bandhu Hospital, where they received emergency first aid.
