Newly built house of woman demolished over old enmity
GORAKHPUR, July 8 -- In a shocking incident, a group of miscreants allegedly demolished a newly constructed house belonging to a woman named Pushpa Devi in a village under the jurisdiction of Khalilabad Police Station in Sant Kabir Nagar district. The incident took place late Sunday night and it is said to be the outcome of a land dispute.
According to the police, the accused arrived with a JCB machine around midnight and razed the house. The residence, built on legally owned land, had been completed just 20 days earlier, and final finishing touches were still underway. Circle officer of Khalilabad, Keshav Kumar, confirmed that following a complaint by the victim, an FIR has been registered against six individuals. Pushpa Devi alleged that the accused-Urmila Devi, Shubham Rai, Vinod Rai, and Anurag Rai-were among those who carried out the demolition. She also claimed that they hurled abuses at her and issued death threats during the attack. Officials stated that Pushpa and Urmila Devi have a longstanding land dispute. htc...
