LUCKNOW, July 25 -- The Malda Town-Gomti Nagar Amrit Bharat Express has started regular weekly service from Wednesday, July 24. The train was officially flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 18. This new superfast train connects West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh, improving travel between these states. The train no. 13435/13436 will run once a week. It leaves Malda Town every Thursday at 7:25pm and reaches Gomti Nagar, Lucknow at 3:40pm the next day. On the return journey, it departs Gomti Nagar every Friday at 6:40pm and arrives in Malda Town at 4:40pm on Saturday. The journey covers about 950 kilometres in just over 20 hours. The train stops at 23 stations, including New Farakka, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya Dham, and Ayodhya Cantt, linking important towns and cities along the route. The train has modern LHB coaches with 12 sleeper class and 8 general unreserved coaches.
