New VNN house building gets green light
Varanasi, Aug. 6 -- The Urban Development Department of Uttar Pradesh has approved the construction of a new six-storey Varanasi Nagar Nigam House building, reflecting the city's rich heritage. A total of Rs.96.99 crore has been sanctioned for the project, with Rs.25.46 crore already released. Varanasi Nagar Nigam will contribute 25% of the total cost.
The implementing agency, Construction and Design Services (C&DS), under UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Lucknow, will execute the project in EPC mode, following the Planning Department's guidelines.
The new structure, to be built on the northern end of the Nagar Nigam premises over 70,000 square feet, will include a hall for 300 corporators, the Mayor's office, administrative blocks, and modern amenities.htc...
