LUCKNOW, Aug. 19 -- Northeastern Railway (NER) general manager Soumya Mathur on Monday reviewed the progress of redevelopment work at Gomti Nagar railway station. The railway station built at a cost of Rs 378 crore was inaugurated by PM Modi virtually on February 26, 2024 in the presence of Defence minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh. However, the work continues to go on even after over a year despite the claim by railway authorities that the work will be finished within a year of inauguration. Mathur held a meeting with senior officials to assess the current status of the project and directed them to ensure quality construction and timely completion.
