AGRA, Sept. 7 -- A man was allegedly shot dead in a dispute over garbage in a village under Kotwali police station in Mainpuri district on Saturday, while two others sustained injuries. Villagers initially resisted the police from taking the body for post-mortem examination, police said. Superintendent of police (SP) Mainpuri Ganesh Prasad Saha visited the scene. Bhoodev and his two sons have fled, and a case has been registered against them. Police said 40-year-old Yogendra Rajput was heading to his welding shop when his neighbour, Bhoodev Rajput, allegedly threw garbage in front of Yogendra's house. An argument ensued, after which Bhoodev's two sons reportedly arrived armed and opened fire. Yogendra died on the spot.
