PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 28 -- A man with a criminal record was killed by his neighbour after a dispute in the George Town police area of Prayagraj late on Friday night. The two had argued earlier in the evening, but local residents calmed the situation. However, around 1am, the neighbour returned with six or seven friends while the victim was drinking near his home. They attacked him by hitting him repeatedly on the head with a brick, which caused his death. The victim, Sajan Mehtar, 26, lived in Allahpur. His blood-soaked body was found in a lane near Cholera hospital on Saturday morning, about 100 metres from his home. This caused tension among the local community. Sajan's family criticised the police for not acting quickly and demanded the arrest of the attacker. Police from George Town station arrived at the scene, began an investigation, and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Four police teams, including the Special Operations Group (SOG), have been deployed to catch the accused. Raids are ongoing from Allahpur to Sulem Sarai. ADCP (City) Pushkar Verma said the police are working to arrest those responsible and are investigating all details of the case.htc...
