NBRI marks 72nd annual day, signs key research MoUs
Lucknow, Nov. 4 -- The CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) celebrated its 72nd Annual Day on Monday by signing a major MoU with the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP) to promote joint research on plant diversity, past and present ecosystems, and interdisciplinary plant sciences.
NBRI director Ajit Kumar Shasany said the partnership will facilitate collaborative studies on ancient and current plant diversity, climate-linked vegetation, and researcher exchanges. A separate MoU was also signed with the Prof. H.S. Srivastava Foundation for Science and Society to foster innovation and sustainability in plant biotechnology and environmental sciences, he said.
Chief guest Prof. Anil Kumar Gupta, founder of the Honey Bee Network and former IIM Ahmedabad professor, highlighted bio-entrepreneurship and ethical science, while BSIP director Dr. Mahesh G. Thakkar praised the collaboration for advancing plant evolution and climate resilience studies....
