India, Jan. 12 -- Actor Navika Kotia, best known for playing Sridevi's daughter in English Vinglish (2012) followed by a stint in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, surprised everyone with her engagement to real estate entrepreneur Mazen Mody. She says, "Mazen surprised me with a proposal last week. Our engagement with extended families and friends is scheduled for January 24 in Mumbai. The best part is we zeroed in on the same date we had met for the first time last year." The two shared mutual friends until she met his parents twice: "This led them to call my mother and ask for my hand for Mazen, and I was like, 'Bhai, yeh kahan se aa gaya!' But I've always wanted my parents to take the call for my marriage, and this was the perfect fit. It took some time, but had to say yes. We had a small kaccha roka in November." She shares that Mazen always intended to follow up with a romantic proposal. "We flew for the New Year to Baku, Azerbaijan. Everyone was aware of his big surprise other than me. It was the best moment of my life," she says. The wedding will take at least a year or more: "Jab mein engagement ki tayyari mein itna nervous thhe so I can't imagine what it will be like for my wedding!"...
