Dehradun, Sept. 6 -- Manju Bala, principal of a government primary school in Uttarakhand's Champawat district, was conferred the prestigious National Teachers Award 2024 by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held in New Delhi on Friday to mark Teachers' Day. According to a statement issued by the Union ministry of Education, Bala has emerged as a role model in the teaching community by aligning her work with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and introducing several innovative practices in her school.
