AGRA, Aug. 27 -- Prof Vibha Sharma, faculty member in the department of English, faculty of arts, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been selected for the prestigious National Award for Teachers 2025 for higher educational institutions and polytechnics, instituted by the ministry of education, government of India. Prof Sharma will receive the award from the President of India at a ceremony to be held in, New Delhi, on Teachers' Day next month. She is one of the 21 selected awardees from across the country. The award carries a certificate of merit, a silver medal, and a cash prize of Rs 50,000. Congratulating Prof Sharma, AMU vice chancellor, Prof Naima Khatoon, said, "This honour reflects not only Prof Vibha Sharma's dedication and scholarship but also AMU's commitment to nurturing educators who make a significant impact on higher education.
