Naimish Nagar project kicks off, to house 3 lakh
Lucknow, Aug. 13 -- Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has officially commenced work on its ambitious Naimish Nagar township project along Sitapur Road.
Spread across 1,084 hectares, the township will cover 18 villages in the Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT) tehsil and aims to provide residential facilities for nearly 3 lakh people. The project is planned as a fully developed satellite township, featuring wide roads, green belts, parks, schools, hospitals, community centers, commercial zones, and solid waste management systems.
Land acquisition for the project will follow a Standard Operating Procedure, with LDA officials already engaging with farmers to acquire land through mutual consent.
Joint secretary Sushil Pratap Singh stated that all land would be acquired with the agreement of the landowners. Continuous discussions with farmers are ongoing, and the formal process of land agreements (bainama) will begin soon.
LDA vice chairman Prathamesh Kumar said approximately Rs 4,785 crore is estimated to be spent on land acquisition, and the plan has received board approval.
