LUCKNOW, June 27 -- Days after a 17-year-old girl was murdered in Lucknow's Vigyanpuri colony allegedly by her stepfather, the victim's mother claimed that the accused raped her recently and made inappropriate advances towards her in the past. Though the man was arrested on charges of murder late Monday night and is currently in judicial custody, police have not yet filed a rape case against him. Three days before the murder, the girl had posted a story about her stepfather's "inappropriate behaviour" on social media, which was shared by her friend, claimed the mother. The woman reported to the police that the accused raped her daughter when she returned home from hostel recently. "Terrified by his actions, she remained silent and returned to the hostel. She avoided coming home due to her stepfather's behaviour. But after being called home again during a break, the stepfather attempted to assault her again before she was due to return to the hostel on June 30," added the victim's mother....
