MSMEs must upgrade according to market needs, says Adityanath
Lucknow, May 7 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday asserted that MSME units have to keep updating themselves according to the changing market requirements. Uttar Pradesh is the largest MSME base in the country, so a concrete strategy should be adopted for capacity building of the youth associated with this sector, he said.
Reviewing the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) department, Adityanath gave guidelines for the overall development of this sector, expansion of entrepreneurship, employment generation and export growth.
The CM directed that before giving loans to new entrepreneurs under the 'CM-Yuva' scheme, they must be provided proper and quality training.
He said that MSME units of the state are not only giving impetus to economic activities at the local level but are also acting as anchors for large industries.
He emphasised on making the MSME sector strategically stronger to realise the mantra of 'Vocal for Local', 'Local to Global' and 'Brand UP'....
