MEERUT, Aug. 11 -- The 25-year-old nephew, on Sunday, confessed to killing his 30-year-old uncle in Meerut's Lisadi Gate area on Saturday over a long-standing property dispute, said police. The incident, which occurred on Saturday in Majeed Nagar was caught on CCTV and a mobile phone camera. The attacker was identified by the victim's family as Subhan, his nephew, said police. Subhan and his aide Shadan were arrested six hours later after a police encounter near the Glass Bridge, during which both were shot in the legs after opening fire on officers. In his confession, Subhan admitted to killing his uncle over a 25-square-yard share of land. Subhan also claimed that another uncle, Shehenshah, had previously tried to have Aslam killed and was now on the run.
