Mother orientation drive gains pace in UP
LUCKNOW, Dec. 3 -- A statewide online orientation session on integrating kindergarten education with family participation was organised on Tuesday to accelerate the mother orientation programme in Uttar Pradesh.
The special YouTube session was attended by nodal teacher, headmaster, kindergarten teacher, Anganwadi workers, and supervisor of the child development services and nutrition department, an official said. The central message was clear: A child's early learning begins where the mother speaks. In keeping with this vision, monthly mother orientation programmes are being strengthened, according to a spokesperson.
The programme focuses on organising early learning, language development, nutrition, behavioural habits, and home-based activities with family participation for children aged 3 to 6 years at co-located Anganwadi centres across the state.
The initiative is expected to further enrich, engage, and empower the learning environment at the kindergarten level in the coming months, ensuring every child's first lessons of life are laid on a solid foundation.
Basic education minister Sandeep Singh said, "The mother orientation programme is an effective means of linking the quality of pre-primary education with family participation. The mother's role is crucial in shaping a child's early learning, nutrition, and behaviour." htc...
