PRAYAGRAJ, Sept. 17 -- A 55-year-old woman lost her life and her daughter sustained injuries after being attacked by a swarm of bees outside their home in a village under the Antu police station area of Pratapgarh district on Tuesday. According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Lohangpur village, where Saroja Devi,55, and her daughter, Damini,22, were at home while Saroja's husband, Baboo Lal Arab, had gone to Biharganj market. Unaware of the danger, the mother and daughter opened the front door of their house and stepped outside, where a large swarm of bees was hovering nearby. The bees immediately attacked, stinging them multiple times. Frightened by the aggressive swarm, nearby villagers were initially hesitant to intervene. After some time, they managed to light a fire to disperse the bees and rescue the victims. Both women were critically injured and rushed to the local medical college hospital. Saroja Devi was declared dead on arrival, while Damini was reported to be in a critical but stable condition.
