Monsoon set to pick up pace in U.P.
LUCKNOW, July 28 -- : Western districts of the state are likely to witness a spike in monsoon activities over the next couple of days. Later, eastern districts may experience more rain, according to the weather department.
"There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in western UP over the next two days and very heavy rainfall at some places in the north-western part of the state tomorrow. Due to an increase in monsoon activities from July 29, heavy rainfall is also likely in eastern UP thereafter," said Atul Kumar Singh, a senior scientist at the Lucknow Met office.
Meanwhile, Lucknow remained largely overcast on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 32.9 and 28degC. Along with overcast skies with one or two spells of rain, mercury may hover between 31 and 27degC on Monday....
