BAHRAICH, Jan. 11 -- A man was injured in a monkey attack-sixth in the last three days-in Basanta Gajadharpur village of Bahraich district on Saturday. The incident occurred under Fakharpur police station area while the victim identified as Anil, 27, was selling domestic goods door-to-door on his bike. So far, six people have been injured in repeated monkey attacks, creating an atmosphere of fear in the village. Scared residents have demanded immediate action from the administration. Villagers have urged the administration to take immediate steps to capture monkeys so that they can live without fear. Assistant conservator of forests Rashid Jameel told HT that catching monkeys is not the responsibility of the forest department but of the animal husbandry and the revenue departments. He said cooperation would be provided if assistance is requested by the concerned departments. Meanwhile, the Fakharpur police station in-charge said he was not aware of the incident....
