prayagraj, May 6 -- Superintendent of Police, Pratapgarh, Anil Kumar, on Monday ordered the suspension of the station house officer (SHO) of Kunda Police Station, Satendra Singh, and sub-inspector Rohit Singh for alleged negligence in handling the case of molestation of a minor girl by a school van driver in Kunda, Pratapgarh. According to reports, the parents of a Lower Kindergarten (LKG) student from a private school lodged a complaint on May 1, alleging that their daughter had been molested by the school's van driver, identified as Shivkaran Sahu. The SHO registered a case and initially arrested only the van driver, sending him to jail. However, following widespread public outrage and a bandh (shutdown) called by local traders on May 3, further investigation revealed the involvement of the school's manager and principal. Both were subsequently arrested and jailed as co-accused in the case.
