Mobile courts clear 677 Divyangjan grievances across nine districts
LUCKNOW, July 20 -- As many as 677 complaints by Divyangjans were resolved on the spot through mobile courts conducted across nine districts in UP, according to the state government. Headed by the state commissioner for persons with disabilities, the mobile courts have been held in Meerut, Sultanpur, Amethi, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Shravasti, Gonda, Bahraich, and Balrampur.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to provide doorstep redressal, enabling Divyangjans to raise issues without repeatedly visiting government offices. At these mobile sessions, grievances are addressed locally, and immediate instructions are issued to the relevant departments. The commissioner's office received 503 complaints in the 2024-25 financial year. In 2025-26 (so far), 91 complaints have been filed, of which 58 have been resolved, while 33 are in process.
According to the department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, a total of 2,699 complaints were registered via CM Helpline, PGI Portal, online platforms, and CM references as of May 2025. Of these, 2,660 complaints have been resolved.
Only 39 complaints remain pending, though none have exceeded the set resolution timelines. Of the 212 CM Reference complaints, 206 have been addressed. On the PGI Portal, 394 out of 404 were resolved, while 229 out of 233 online complaints were cleared. Through the CM Helpline, 1,831 out of 1,850 cases were settled.
The mobile court model is supported by an administrative structure set under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act.
