MNNIT to host global alumni meet on Nov 15-16
Prayagraj, Nov. 14 -- Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad, will host its Global Alumni Convention (GAC)-2025 on November 15-16. The two-day event is being organised by the MNNIT Alumni Association (MAA).
The convention aims to bring together alumni, teachers, and current students to share memories and discuss ways to help the institute grow. Officials said that nearly 250 alumni from different countries and batches have already registered.
The event will start at 10 am on November 15 with a lamp-lighting ceremony. Rajeev Jain, an alumnus from the 1987 Civil Engineering batch and managing director of Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation Limited, Bhopal, will be the chief guest.
Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, a 1992 Civil Engineering graduate and chief vigilance officer at Coal India Limited, Kolkata, will be the guest of honour. The director of MNNIT will preside over the function. Also present will be Shive Narayan, vice-president of MAA, and Anupam Rawat, organising secretary of GAC-2025.
On the first day, retired faculty members-prof. Anil Kumar Sachan, prof Hari Sharan Goyal, prof Jyotsana Sinha, and prof Manoj Kumar Khurana-will be honoured. Awards will also be given to top-performing students in cultural, technical, and sports activities.
Special recognition will be given to alumni celebrating milestone reunions-Diamond Jubilee (1965 graduates), Golden Jubilee (1975 graduates), "Dosti ke 50 Varsh" (1975 entrants), and Silver Jubilee (2000 graduates).
The second day, November 16, will begin with a faculty-alumni workshop on the theme "Harnessing Alumni Potential for Institutional Growth" at 10 am. At 11.30 am....
