LAKHIMPUR KHERI, May 17 -- The Beldanda tigress-officially tagged as KISH_8 from the Kishanpur Sanctuary-was spotted again, lying in a waterhole within the sanctuary after a 10-day absence, and appeared to be in good health.The tigress had been reported missing since May 4, after visiting photographers captured images of her in an injured condition at Kishanpur Sanctuary and shared them on social media. The photographs of the injured tigress left the Dudhwa authorities concerned. Acting swiftly, field director, DTR Dr H Rajamohan and deputy director Dr Rengaraju T assigned a team of Dudhwa biologists, veterinary experts, and field officials to monitor the injured tigress and provide her medical treatment. Permission from PCCF, wildlife was also obtained for tranquillizing the tigress so as to provide her proper treatment.
