LUCKNOW, Feb. 5 -- Lucknow police seized three vehicles on Wednesday, two days after a video showing an SUV ramming through police barricades in Gomti Nagar Extension went viral on social media. The drivers were found to be minors. The seized vehicles include a Mahindra Thar, a Scorpio and a Ciaz, police said in a statement. The video showed a Thar smashing traffic barricades near Janeshwar Mishra Park before speeding away. Separate footage showed a youth performing stunts on a moving vehicle. "Sub-inspector Satyam Gupta of Gomti Nagar Extension police station lodged a complaint, following which an FIR was registered under sections 285, 289, 292, 125 and 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita," police said in a statement. All three vehicles involved in the stunts were traced and brought to the police station for seizure as part of the investigation, police said. "As the drivers were underage, they were released in the presence of their family members after being counselled and issued strict warnings as per legal provisions," the statement said, adding that further action would be taken in accordance with the law. htc...
