PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 7 -- A 15-year-old girl from Phaphamau was allegedly subjected to an illegal ova extraction at an IVF centre after being lured with money. Police said a gang, including a registered female agent of the centre, prepared a fake Aadhaar card and a forged affidavit showing the girl as married before carrying out the procedure. Acting on a complaint by the girl's mother, police have detained four women and one man and are questioning them to trace the wider network. The Allahabad high court recently granted bail to a man named as an accused in the Bareilly violence case of last year. The FIR against the incident was lodged at the Baradari police station of Bareilly. Justice Vivek Verma allowed the bail application of Nazim Raja Khan, whose counsel had submitted that he was not named in the FIR and was falsely implicated in the case. It was further contended that identically placed co-accused Mustakeem alias Mohd Mustakeem was granted bail by this court vide order dated January 24.
