Minor girl jumps from first floor to escape sexual harassment; video goes viral
Jhansi, July 4 -- Police arrested two brothers for their alleged attempt to sexually assault a minor girl after barging into her house in Kotch area of Jalaun district.
The incident came to light after a video went viral on Thursday in which the girl was seen jumping from the first floor of her house to save herself. The incident is said to be of Tuesday evening and the girl has alleged that both the accused forcibly entered her house and tried to sexually assault her.
The accused also made a video of the incident and threatened to make it viral. In order to save herself she ran out and jumped from the balcony of the first floor of her house. Luckily she was saved and sustained only a few injuries.
A case was lodged against the accused Injamam, 22, and his elder brother Asif, 26, under sections 75(2) (sexual harassment), 79 (insulting modesty of a woman), 333 (house trespass for causing hurt to a person), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS and section 7/8 of the POCSO Act after which police arrested both the brothers.
As per circle officer Kotch, Parmeswar Prasad, police are investigating the matter....
