Varanasi, Dec. 23 -- Three people were injured after unidentified miscreants allegedly blew up the back wall of a house in Moharganj locality under Balua police station area of Chandauli district on Sunday night. The loud sound of the blast was heard across the area. The house was filled with smoke, locals said. Police later said that the injured were transgender persons identified as Lovely, Soni and Moni who were sleeping in a room when the explosion occurred. They sustained minor injuries, while others sleeping in nearby rooms managed to run out onto the road and escaped unhurt. A police team reached the spot soon after receiving information. The police recovered a wire from the site. A forensic team collected remains of the explosive material and sealed the area. Nearby CCTV cameras are being checked to identify the attackers.
