Lucknow, Nov. 24 -- Energy minister AK Sharma congratulated citizens as Uttar Pradesh achieved a sixth consecutive year with no increase in power tariffs - the first state in India to do so. He said the 2025-26 zero-hike decision reflects the government's focus on public welfare. Sharma added that ongoing power-sector reforms are directly benefiting all consumer categories, with the regulatory commission keeping tariffs unchanged and providing timely relief while infrastructure modernisation continues.
