Lucknow, Aug. 7 -- The minister of state for social welfare (independent charge) Asim Arun spent 15 hours among children to check the arrangements at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya run by the department in Basti district of the state on Tuesday. The minister reached Sarvodaya Vidyalaya located in Bhanpur of Basti at 6pm on Tuesday and stayed till 9am on Wednesday. The minister also had a meal with the children in the mess and spent the night in the hostel. On Wednesday morning, he also did exercise with the children. During the night stay, the children discussed studies as well as future plans with the minister. He also saw the notebooks of various subjects and said that looking at the copies, it appears that studies are being done seriously in the class. Children have a sense of pride about their school. Children said that they are getting good food, cleanliness, clothes etc. in the school. The children also discussed shortage of teachers with the minister for which he assured that the issue would be resolved with the help of guest teachers soon. The minister directed that all the teachers will remain in the school for 24 hours....
