Lucknow, Aug. 27 -- In a major move to enhance passenger convenience and promote last-mile connectivity, the Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uber. The agreement was formalised at Hazratganj Metro Station. Under this MoU, passengers booking an Uber Moto ride from any of the 21 Metro stations will receive a discount of up to 50% (maximum Rs 20). As part of the partnership, Uber has also set up a dedicated kiosk with free mobile charging sockets at Hazratganj Metro Station.
