LUCKNOW, Nov. 22 -- Temperatures across the state are expected to gradually drop by 2-4degC over the next week, the weatherman said. "With no active weather system in the state and the recent increase in temperatures due to wind changes over the past few days expected to subside in the coming days, the cold is set to make a comeback. "The resumption of cold and dry Northwesterly Winds from the Western Himalayan regions at the surface level, will cause temperatures across the state to fall by 2-4degC over the next week, leading to a gradual increase in cold," said Atul Kumar Singh, a senior scientist at Lucknow Met office. During this period, light to moderate fog is likely to occur in some areas, along with mist in the morning (dawn), which will clear as the day progresses. On Friday, day and night temperatures in the state capital rose to 28.4 and 14.5 degrees Celsius, respectively. The forecast for Saturday is mist during morning hours and hazy sky later. The maximum and minimum temperature will be around 28 and 14 degrees Celsius, respectively. The state weather forecast is most likely dry over the state. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely at isolated places in the morning hours over the state. The five UP cities that recorded the lowest temperatures are: Bulandshahr and Barabanki 11 degrees Celsius, Kanpur City and Etawah 11.2 degrees and Meerut 11.6 degree Celsius....
