PRAYAGRAJ, March 3 -- A middle-aged man suffering from mental illness died by suicide late on Sunday night after jumping in front of a freight train near his village under Antu police station area of Pratapgarh. The incident caused the train to halt for nearly 20 minutes. Family members later reached the spot and identified the body. According to relatives, he had been unwell for a long time and was mentally unstable. Because of his condition, the family kept a close watch on him at home. Around 10:30 pm on Sunday, he suddenly ran out of the house and reached the Pratapgarh-Varanasi railway line, located about half a kilometre away.
