AGRA, March 23 -- A member of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), D Sakshi Baijal, has been bound on apprehension of disrupting law and order during the election. The notice has been issued by the city magistrate after a report was forwarded by the concerned police station. "I was not aware that one of those served notice was a member of the State Child Rights Commission and notices were issued on basis of report from Kotwali police station. If it is required, the matter would be reviewed once offices open after Holi vacation' said Agra city magistrate Prabha Kant Awasthi. However, Baijal, a practising doctor, Sakshi Baijal is not convinced and is seeking legal advice to initiate defamation proceedings against the DM and the SSP for maligning his image. "I am holding a constitutional as member of State Child Rights Commission. No one can claim ignorance about this fact as I was duly appointed. So I am seeking legal advice to proceed for defamation," Sakshi Baijal said. He, however, admitted that he was served a similar notice during local bodies' election in Agra. "I am a practising doctor and have a reputation.. Otherwise also the LIU conducts inquiry before naming someone as threat to law and order during election. Yet they chose to name a person like me, holding a constitutional post," complained the fuming doctor....
