Lucknow, July 31 -- Senior BJP leaders in New Delhi held a series of discussions this week focused on the development and governance of Lucknow, as part of efforts to strengthen coordination between city administration and party leadership. As part of these meetings, Lucknow mayor Sushma Kharkwal met defence minister and local MP Rajnath Singh to review the implementation of central and state schemes in the city. She also called on BJP national general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh at the party headquarters, where organisational matters were discussed. Further talks were held at UP Bhawan with BJP's Uttar Pradesh president Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, MLAs Subhash Tripathi and Umesh Malik, and former MLC Yashwant Singh. The discussions focused on civic issues, public engagement, and improving administrative coordination. Mayor Kharkwal also met Rajya Sabha MPs Dr Dinesh Sharma and Sanjay Seth to discuss urban development, governance challenges, and the broader political vision for the city.
