Haridwar, June 3 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati on Monday removed Uttarakhand party in charge Shamshuddin Rain allegedly on account of laxity and not informing the party high command about the alleged leaked sex tape of a Haridwar-based senior party office-bearer. According to a statement issued by the party, Shamshuddin Rain, state party in charge has been removed from the said post with immediate effect. A party worker, on condition of anonymity, Rain was removed due to his laxity and not informing the party high command about the alleged leaked sex tape. "Party high command has taken a decision. New in-charges will soon hold meetings in the state to ensure BSP regains it's previous foothold in Uttarakhand," said BSP state president Pradeep Saini. This move comes a day after Shivalik Nagar-based BSP state unit office in charge Dharam Singh was removed from his post, without official mention of the reason for expulsion. "Two new appointments as state party in-charges - Sarfaraz Rain and Vijay Kumar - have been made. Both the new state in-charges will soon arrive in Haridwar and hold a media briefing in this regard," said a senior BSP leader, on condition of anonymity. He further said that a sex tape of Dharam Singh was being circulated on social media for almost the past two weeks. "This wasn't reported or brought to the knowledge of party high command by Shamsuddin Rain. This didn't go down well with the party supremo and disciplinary action has been taken against the party state in charge," said the BSP leader....
