LUCKNOW, May 15 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati on Wednesday demanded strict action against Madhya Pradesh tribal affairs minister Vijay Shah for his remarks about Indian Army officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, terming them "disgraceful and uncivilised". In a series of posts on social media platform X, the BSP chief said that the "disgusting, uncivilised and indecent" remarks first against the foreign secretary and then against the woman army officer, are really going to destroy the whole atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement that the whole country is enjoying due to the success of Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, which is "extremely sad and shameful". The BJP and the central government should take note of the indecent remarks made by a senior minister of Madhya Pradesh regarding the Muslim woman army spokesperson and take strict action against him, so that the nefarious designs of the enemies fail and the mutual brotherhood and harmony in the country is not spoiled, Mayawati said....
