Lucknow, Jan. 24 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said it was necessary for his party to form the government in the state for the sake of democracy. In a statement issued on Friday, when he met Ulemas and others at the party headquarters here, Akhilesh said, "The BJP will resort to conspiracies in the assembly elections. The BJP government hates PDA ('pichde', 'Dalit', 'alpsankhyak') and is humiliating them. This very PDA will defeat the BJP. The time has come when the government's arrogance must cease to exist."
