Varanasi, June 12 -- Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Wednesday criticised Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) president Ajay Rai's comment on Rafale, stating Rai should first "acquire the ability to reach the House" before commenting on such issues. Maurya made these remarks at a press conference in Kashi, where he highlighted the achievements of the Modi government over its last 11 years. Maurya described the Modi government's schemes, achievements and policy firmness as a decisive step towards achieving 'developed India'. He also attacked top leaders of the Congress and Samajwadi Party, accusing them of having an "anti-national mindset." Deputy CM Maurya asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India has built a strong nation in the last 11 years through service, good governance, and welfare for the poor. He added that the Modi government has eased people's lives and elevated India's global standing. Attacking the opposition, Maurya alleged that the politics of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav are inspired by anti-national tendencies. Maurya claimed Rahul Gandhi "speaks the language of Pakistan and does Indian politics from the perspective of China." He reiterated his criticism of UPCC president Ajay Rai, saying Rai should first secure an electoral victory before commenting on matters like Rafale. In May of this year, Rai had commented on the government needing to "remove lemon-chilly" from the Rafale. The deputy CM declared that the Samajwadi Party has become a 'Samaptvadi Party' (a party destined to end), and the people have rejected Akhilesh Yadav's "negative politics."...
