Mauritius PM to visit Kashi onSept 11, likely to meet Modi
VARANASI, Aug. 20 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold a meeting with his Mauritius counterpart Navinchandra Ramgoolam during the latter's visit to Varanasi on September 11, officials said on Tuesday.
Varanasi divisional commissioner S Rajalingam said preparations are underway for the Mauritius PM's visit to Kashi. "Prime Minister Ramgoolam will arrive on September 11, and PM Modi is also likely to visit Varanasi the same day," he said.
Soon after landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Ramgoolam will be accorded a grand welcome, with a cultural programme showcasing Kashi's heritage planned near the airport, officials said.
"The Mauritius Prime Minister will visit Baba Kashi Vishwanath and Baba Kaal Bhairav temples," a district administration official said.
"A meeting with Prime Minister Modi is likely in Kashi. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath as well as a few ministers may also join in," the official added....
