Married woman living with lover found dead in rented accommodation
MEERUT, July 6 -- A 28-year-old woman was found dead in her rented accommodation in Bareilly's Ramganga Nagar on Friday. The postmortem revealed that she was brutally beaten before being strangled to death, police said on Saturday. The woman, identified as Meera Sharma, a native of Mirpur Richhola village in Bisalpur police station area of Pilibhit district, was living with her lover after leaving her husband. Meera was married to Pawan, a resident of Malhpur village in Bhuta, around eight years ago. However, following disputes, she left her home, taking their four-year-old son with her.
She relocated to Bareilly and began living in a rented accommodation with Guddu alias Aashiq, a resident of Shahjahanpur. On Friday afternoon, when neighbours noticed her absence, they grew suspicious and alerted the Bithri police, reporting that Meera's body was lying inside her room. Inspector Chandraprakash Shukla arrived at the scene with his team, after which the body was sealed and sent for postmortem examination.
During questioning, Meera's four-year-old son, Govinda, told police, "Mama strangled my mother." The boy reportedly used "Mama" to refer to Guddu.
Inspector Chandraprakash Shukla stated that while Guddu remains the primary suspect, there is also some suspicion surrounding Meera's husband, Pawan. The investigation is ongoing, and they will be arrested soon, said police. htc...
