Man wanted in attempt to murder case arrested in Aliganj
LUCKNOW, June 1 -- The joint operation of Ghazipur police and Eastern Zone crime team on Saturday arrested a 22-year-old man wanted in a sensational attemptto-murder case near Kendriya Vidyalaya in Aliganj.
The police official said in a press release that the accused has been identified as Samridh Singh, a resident of Vikas Nagar. Singh had been absconding since the incident and carried a reward of Rs 10,000, announced by the deputy commissioner of police (East).
Police said Singh was involved in a violent attack on May 25, in which a group of men allegedly fired 3-4 rounds at a man named Mursleen, seriously injuring him. The attackers also fired in the air, spreading panic in the area. The victim's brother, Aslam, a resident of Barabanki, lodged a formal complaint at Ghazipur police station, leading to the registration of an FIR under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Arms Act, the press release stated.
The police official said that investigations revealed the involvement of multiple accused. The search for the remaining accused has been ongoing, with the police announcing a reward of Rs 10,000 each for their arrest, the press release stated....
