Meerut, June 13 -- A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death by his cousin on Wednesday night in Nangla Kumbha village, located in the Jani Khurd area of Meerut district. The murder, which followed a heated argument over the removal of soil from farmland, has sparked unrest in the village. Police officials confirmed that an informal complaint was lodged. The deceased was identified as Maroof, son of Raghib. As per Maroof's relatives, Ismail was transporting soil from his field using a buffalo cart. Maroof, who was working in an adjacent field, objected to the act. Ismail confronted Maroof and attacked him with a knife, stabbing him multiple times before fleeing the scene. Maroof collapsed and died at the hosital, police said. SP (rural), RK Mishra, said, "The situation is being closely monitored. Adequate police force has been deployed in the area to prevent any further escalation. We are committed to ensuring peace between the families involved."...
