Man shoots himself after dispute with wife, critical
PRAYAGRAJ, June 23 -- After a dispute with his wife, a young man allegedly shot himself on the temple with a pistol on Sunday afternoon under Aspur Devsara police station area in Pratapgarh.
Family members took him to Jaunpur district hospital, from where he was referred to Varanasi where his condition remains critical.
As per reports, following a dispute with his wife over asking for Rs 2000 for his mother's medicine, a young man shot himself in the temple with a pistol. The family members took him first to Badalpur CHC and then to Jaunpur District Hospital from where doctors referred him to BHU Trauma centre in Varanasi.
On getting the information, SHO of Aspur Devsara police station Dhirendra Singh Thakur reached the spot and recovered the pistol. He further informed that the husband had also written a two line suicide note blaming his wife for the same. His wife informed that her husband is an alcoholic besides he was sent to jail in 2015 in the case of rape and murder of a village girl.
With the help of STF, Raniganj police nabbed a gangster carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest on Sunday. The gangster has 12 cases of murder and robbery registered against him in different districts of state, including Shravasti, Bahraich, Prayagraj and Pratapgarh. The accused has been identified as Mahmood Khan, resident of Hardatt Nagar, Galgal Gotiya in Shravasti. He is an accused in a robbery case that took place in Raniganj area last year. The police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on his name after taking action against him under Gangster Act. He arrested him near Dandupur Tiraha along with Raniganj SHO Arjun Singh.
A young man under Karchhana police station area, hurt by the accusation of theft of Rs 5000 and the raid on his house by the police, committed suicide by hanging himself on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, family members of the deceased and village residents created a ruckus after the body of the deceased was found hanging from the ceiling fan hook inside the house.
As per reports, the deceased's uncle had complained to the police accusing his nephew of having stolen Rs 5000 from his house around four days ago. The police in turn had raided his house three times to nab the accused. However, on Saturday, the police took his father to the police station. This upset the man who committed suicide on Saturday night in his house. On receiving information, police arrived on the spot and sent the body for postmortem.
On the complaint of the wife of the deceased, a case has been lodged against the uncle and one other person of the village.
In Pipraon village panchayat under Bara police station, a boy committed suicide by jumping in front of a train after being scolded by his mother on Saturday night. On receiving information, GRP reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. As per the reports, the boy had some dispute with his mother over some issue after which his mother scolded him. After the dispute, he left the house saying that he was going to coaching in Jasra. At night, he went to the track and jumped in front of the train....
