Man posing as Prayagraj judge intimidates Bijnor DM
PRAYAGRAJ, Nov. 18 -- A case of intimidation of the district magistrate, Bijnor and SDM using the name of a district court judge has come to light.
The caller, claiming to be additional chief judicial magistrate Yogesh Jain, recommended removing the name of female ARO from her duties in the mass revision of the voter list.
After receiving information from the Bijnor district administration, the additional chief judicial magistrate filed an FIR against the unknown person at the Colonelganj police station.
Additional chief judicial magistrate Yogesh Jain, in his complaint to the police, stated that on August 18, information was received from the office of SDM, Dhampur of Bijnor district that an unknown person was calling several senior officials in Bijnor district and recommending that assistant electoral registration officer, Dhampur, Preeti Gupta, be removed from her duties in the electoral revision.
Jain stated that no one called on his behalf. A check of the unknown number on Truecaller revealed chief judicial magistrate Yogesh Jain. The mobile app Truecaller also lists the email ID mayankjaiswal67701@gmail.com along with the mobile number.
The judicial magistrate also stated in the complaint that on November 10, a speed post sent by Vipin Kumar, resident of Anand Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka, was received at the court's address.
It alleged that Ayush Jain, son of Rajiv Jain, of Dhampur police station, Dhampur tehsil, Bijnor district, was calling various officials in the name of the judicial magistrate and forcing them to do inappropriate things.
Meanwhile, SHO of Colonelganj police station Santosh Kumar Singh stated that an FIR has been registered based on the complaint and efforts are underway to arrest the accused....
