Lucknow, Nov. 10 -- A 25-year-old man was killed and his friend seriously injured after their bike collided with a traveller vehicle in Lucknow's Telibagh area late Saturday night. The deceased, identified as Sadiq, was returning home after getting his friend treated when the accident occurred. According to police, the incident took place near Parvati Shiv Mandir under the PGI police station limits. "The bike hit a traveller that turned abruptly without giving an indicator. Both men were thrown off the bike and dragged a few metres on the road," an officer said. CCTV footage from the area captured the moment of the crash, showing the two speeding on their motorcycle when the traveller suddenly swerved, leading to the collision. Police said the footage will be examined to determine responsibility. Sadiq's brother Chand, said his brother had taken his injured friend Shakeel for first aid after he sustained a cut on his hand. "They were returning home around 2am when the crash happened. My brother died on the spot," he said. Sadiq, a resident of Kumhar Mandi in Telibagh, drove an e-rickshaw to support his family. He was married about a year and a half ago, and his wife is expecting a child later this month. Shakeel remains in critical condition at the Apex Trauma Centre....
