Lucknow, Dec. 12 -- A 35-year-old man sustained serious injuries after a nylon kite string (manja) slashed his neck while he was riding his bike near Burlington crossing here on Thursday. According to police, Ashwini Kashyap was on his way home when the incident took place. By the time he could react, the string had caused a deep cut. Passersby rushed to help him and took him to Civil hospital. Doctors said Ashwini suffered a deep neck laceration and required seven stitches. Meanwhile, a 39-year-old teacher at a private degree college in Jaunpur died after his neck was slit by Chinese 'manjha' while he was crossing a bridge.
