Man held for offensive posts against CM
LUCKNOW, Aug. 19 -- District Police on Monday arrested a 35-year-old man accused of making derogatory remarks on social media against CM Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA from Chail constituency Pooja Pal, who was recently expelled by the SP for anti-party activities after she praised CM Yogi for bringing her husband's killers to justice. The accused, identified as Umesh Yadav of Majra Rajpur Mahigawa in Lucknow, has been sent to jail.
He allegedly posted objectionable content on social media platforms X and Facebook. Complaints against Umesh Yadav were filed by one Govind Pal, advocate Upendra Pal and BJP mandal general secretary Ram Sahare Pal at Lucknow's Sairpur police station, said SHO, Sairpur police station, Manoj Kumar Kori. Ram Pal Singh, a BJP village coordinator, also lodged a complaint at Mahigawa police station....
