LUCKNOW, May 25 -- The Banthra police arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly sexually exploiting a woman from his village after luring her with a false promise of marriage. The accused, Arpit Singh, who runs a seed and pesticide shop, was nabbed near the Bijnor cut on on Friday and sent to judicial custody, the police department stated in release. According to police, Singh, a resident of Kannikheda Majra Ain under Banthra police station limits, allegedly developed a physical relationship with the victim after assuring her that he would marry her. When the woman later expressed her desire to formalize the relationship, Singh allegedly refused, abused her, and threatened to kill her.
