LUCKNOW, Jan. 16 -- A man was found dead inside a room in Vikas Nagar (Sector L) on Thursday evening, police said. Preliminary investigation suggests he may have shot himself, they added. According to officials, Dial 112 was informed on Thursday that a man had locked himself inside a room in the locality. Acting swiftly, a team from Vikas Nagar police station reached the spot and found the door bolted from inside. Police broke open the door only to find the man lying unresponsive. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced "brought dead". Police said a forensic team collected evidence. A revolver, an empty shell, and a live cartridge were recovered from the spot. "Prima facie, the case appears to be a suicide by firearm. However, all aspects are being examined thoroughly," a senior police officer said, adding that further investigation was underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident....
